Okay, so you're not the size of VISIT FLORIDA or Blue Cross or you-pick-'em major corporation with marketing pockets deep enough to reach your shoes. That doesn't mean that you can't play big in social media, consumer engagement, brand loyalty-building and (ultimately) ramped up SEO and web traffic. You just need to think, act and execute creatively.
In many business-to-consumer industries, Brand Evangelists are out there, waiting and wanting to tell your story.
Take the travel industry — chock full o' bloggers, videographers, writers, photographers and other communicators. Here, you need to identify and define your primary audience segments, then create strategy and tactics that allow you to feed the passion of each segment. With 'Tween Waters Inn Island Resort & Spa of Captiva Island, we did just that with 'Tween Waters Innsiders. These four authorities — highly credentialed, not a hack in the bunch — each contribute monthly editorial with imagery that's specifically targeted at their audience segment. Since inception, the Innsiders have contributed more than 100 blogs to the website's content and engagement, while greatly assisting SEO and SER.
NOISE has executed similar strategy and tactics in healthcare as well. Here, all you need are patients who (see above) are talented in the arts of communication. For one client, we created a patient diary which chronicled a woman's journey before, through and following Bariatric Weight Loss surgery. Her personal insights and honesty made for compelling reading, and certainly assisted others considering similar journeys.
There are a few tricks to this that shall remain proprietary, as our clients pay for such genius. But here's a little secret: it doesn't take deep pockets to achieve this kind of Brand Evangelism, and all the good that comes with it.
